Server stats for mpuk ut servers maybe? :x

was just thinking about whether mpuk wud consider hosting a stats site for their public servers like digifrag did for their private ones.

personally i am a right stat whore in ut2k3 :p i'd like to be one in ut aswell :D

Indeed we are looking into stats for ALL our servers but I wont lie to you its not something thats gonna happen in the near future.

Try having a word with the head admin at i4Games, Luc Alexandre

aka Couille Noire (lol black balls)

He had a nice stat recording setup from when he ran Belgames and still does at i4.

If it was just UT it wouldn't be a problem, I'm 99% sure I know how i4games stats/demos are done.

MP want to do all server stats system though so its gonna be a while :)

stats suck, they just encourage people to lame for good efficiency thats y we got rid of it on kik server and then the effi mod, imo its better when u cant see ur effi but iff ur that obscessed with below average efficiency omario :P u can always get DIE|Sky's effi mod :D

tbh I wish there was a mod that removed all scores from F1 when ppl join a public server, just shows the team scores

I did one. Well, almost - a point for a flag cap so at least you felt good about capping and everyone else knew who to blame for winning :)

I must I really really miss ngstats - I know there was a lot of lameness done by players to get themselves up the ladder etc - but I miss seeing my own performances - specailly in league games.

These days you can look at the scoreboard at the end and not really appreciate the players that capped because the defenders scores can be a lot higher - particuarly in insta.
I miss being able to see a breakdown of caps/returns and suchlike info.

If mp manage to get this working it would be great.

I've already started work on this and hope to have a full mock up presentation of it at i18. The system features more than just stats for UT, it will in fact cover every game MPUK host as well as tons of other features, Once the mock up is complete with everything there, it will be handed to Killing and Azazel to do the coding/DB work.

This is a massive project as anyone who viewed the i17 presentation we did will testify, and rather than rush it out for the sake of looking leet, I would rather get things right and spend time on it.

Multiplay as a gsp is still in its infancy, weve still got a long way to go before you see the full service, however we are already able to offer more than most of our competitiors here at a cheaper price. We dont do things by halves here, we think big and assess everything we undertake.

On a serious note this is huge and when its done it will be teh win!
