Poster Competition

[Mooney]

The Uprising Team are after a poster that we would be able to stick up in some computer shops to promote the upcoming September event.
Since we can never decide how to approach the poster we've decided to run a little competition here in the forums.
The Poster Competition is open as of Now :)
All Entries must have the following information:

Date: - 12th - 14th September 2003
Cost: - £30 for the weekend
Webby :- www.Uprisinglan.co.uk
Location: - Livingston

You may wish to include such things as the 2 competitions (5 v 5 CS and Q3 CTF) or anything else regarding the events.

The best design will be chosen by the admin team and announced here in the forums on Sunday 24th August and the winner will be awarded Free Entry to the Next Uprising Event :)

No offense R3ap3r. Make the details a bit brighter and smoothen some of the edges on your blending. Looks very blurry.

Zude's is the best Poster so far.

nah, main part of a design is to get feedback on thoughts of it. Which comes as the main part of improvement. ahh we all love Mr Alan Mortan (me tutupr :P)

daz, i think u should get a more uptodate model to do that wireframe effect on, the original CS models are utter **** :p
they are too low poly to have any close up work look good with them, so imo it would look 20times better if u done that with a smoother model:

Well i do agree about the low polly model craig.

But i've been searching for a high polly version of the 1337 kr3w model for ages and just resukted in using the oriingal.

The reason for using this model is:

I feel that this model is probably the most well known model in the CS community. I feel that if a new comer to the game walked by this poster and seen this head. He would recognize it and say " hey i know that game" and immediately approach the poster. Which was the reason for making it soo big.

If anyone knows of a high polly 1337 Kr3w model say summit :D

I have to agree with Fusion i think you've just taken the lead in the competition.

I never new thier where so many artists among you lot.

I was thinking( i know its dangerous but sometimes it just happens) If i was to add a Artwork Section to the webby would ppl contribute to it, just general designs that ppl could download and use as desktop backgrounds ??

To be honest i tihnk it is so unfair that chaos won the free admitance. I understand it was down to a vote, but What i find unfair is that he gets in for free, because according to Vioaltor he gets in free anyway, so i think you should maybe change and give him somehting else instead of the free admitance that he allready has.
