Anyone know anything about Lan's in edinburgh... Or am i the only posh gimp that wants one????

Uprising LANs are held in Livingston which is a maximum of 20 mins from edinburgh. I also know the the Edinburgh UNI games commity holds some 1 day lans but iam afriad dont know anything bout those dates.

You should prolly pop into one of our events and see wot u think even if ur not gaming pop in and say hello :D

Wish I had found out about you guys earlier didnt know anyone ran Lans up here. We are in Edinburgh my partner and I are heading down to I17 in August ,its our first lan so looking forward to it,What sort of numbers do you get at your lans I see your next one SEP also do you play other games apart from CS,Q3 we play a bit of MOHAA ,Spearhead, and now just started on EF2, also play RTCW, UT, have played Q3 but not for a while.We are kind of mature players been around for a while.I will head over to your webby and have a browse about. :cool:

the majority of out attendees play either cs or q3 but there is always a game of battlefield on the go and usually one or two duels on jedi knight 2.
we have other older people (sorry mature gamers) who attend the events aswell, terma whos the more hands on admin is pushing oap status :p:
we have some ut2k3 people coming this time round also and am sure they'd be happy to give u a game.
We pretty much run any game servers there is demand for :)

all you guys are all talking about all these games but i am a HUGE fan of warcraft3 and was wondering if there was anything happening round edinburgh cos i fell very lonely here .....

You cant really call yourself a gamer if you don’t play Warcraft 3 and i know that alot of the attendees have been hooked on Frozen Throne lately, don’t know if any of them would be able to give u a run for your money but i have seen Chaos and a few others playing it at previous events.
We don’t run a Prize giving Tournament for it but if there is enough interest i should be able to get one going :)
