Due to lack of interest, Custom PC have had to cancel Modfest 2005. This was due to take place at our i25 event over 26-29 August at Newbury Racecourse.
Apologies to those who were looking forward to taking part. It was felt that it was better to cancel the Modfest section rather than go ahead with an appalling turnout. The i25 event itself is unaffected, with over 500 people confirmed as attending already.
We will be working with Custom PC to try and come up with a better format for the modding exhibition and tournament. There were a number of problems with the format that people have told us about, such as existing attendees not wanting to move into the Modfest area away from their clan and the entry fee putting off entrants who are not gamers.
All going well, we hope to host Modfest 2005 at a future event, with a different format that will generate more entrants. In the meantime, i25 is full steam ahead with over 500 people confirmed as attending!
