Ok I got bored with being the nice trading player type so I've started shooting ...... well everything. Now I'm hated by every police force and coperation in Sirius and loved to bits by pirates criminals and terroists.
I was just wondering who else is playing "pirate" ? Has it made the game any more interesting for you or are you as bored as me?
P.S. If you see me around ill more than likely blow something up (trains, freighters) so free goods for all. My usual hunting gounds are Freeport 1 in Omega 3 and all criminal controlled border systems.

It kinda got that way for me too, In my spry need to be loved by the criminal elements of the galaxy i have sadly had to reap the lives of many law biding police factions and bounty hunters ( Who says no one can hear you scream in space - they all screamed ).
Now I am loved by the pirate factions, I have a home on planet Malta - wife and kids not yet estabished there yet tho, I think the radiation has made me sterile...still.
I do think tho that maybe we could spice up the online experience by having perhaps law-biders, vs bad guys - something along those lines maybe - do put ideas forward chaps cuz this will make thing interesting.

I only did the pirate thing for the money and to get the good ship, Nomad weapons etc. It soon got boring so I saved up $5million and now I'm paying off every company, military and police force I p*ssed off before. There's not much money in being good (but still got $4million left and am heading to Rhineland where the missions have a bigger pay off) but after everyone's paid off and my rep has improved with the "good guys" I'm heading to the Border Worlds so watch your six guys. Next time you attack a train it might not be as unprotected as you think...

Well, I'm Public Enemy Number One with the Bounty Hunters.
Can be really good fun...
However, it can also be a bit tedious, when trying to get from point A to point B as quick as possible (for example, to meet a buddy), when all that happens is that I get attacked by Bounty Hunters every step of the way... :angryfire
C9 + C10 weapons + C10 shield help tho'! :D

Yeah I also have the problem of being attacked by every trade lane and gate on the map which doesnt help when every ship I meet on the trade lanes (bar pirate encounters) is hostle to me.
Using the jump hole system has helped out but getting from hole to hole takes ages, sometimes its easier just to shoot my way through(in Liberty the police are a joke).
Buffster, sure I'm up for a bit of PvP but I'm in a Titan so most likely ill get my ass handed to me.
Ceeser, I've managed to stay neutral with the Bounty Hunters and the zoners so my border system travel is almost combat free.

yeah i'm piate myself and i've set my home as Plaent Malta but to ease travel though systems i've managed to stay netural with the bounty hunters and rhienland military and police. its only liberty who h8 me as i decide they were easy pickings to get my rep down with the pirates.

i'm a priate but i've kept the bounty hunters on my side as their in almost every space and are a ready supply of disposble help. Plust they have beses everywhere so if i'm in unfriendly space theirs allways a port that i'm able to dock in.

i started taking Bounty Hunters on 'cos:
1) it's fun! :D
2) I wanted to become matey with the crim elements in the game - and attacking BH is one sure way of becoming friendly with most criminals!

I found bribing people worked just as well. Maybe I'm too much of a capitalist *shrug*
Pirating is more fun if you do it from the start. Not much point in bouncing up to lvl 38 in 2 nights play with trading or player donations and then declaring it all 'too easy'. Although if you REALLY want to have fun pirating then load up on Cruise Disruptors and go player hunting. Not much money in it , and you actually have to be able to fly but hey, its fun.
...speaking of which, sod it. I've decided I'm going to blow everyone up. No seriously. I'm going to be an annoying bugger and attack every player I come across. Why? cause it's fun. Tho I'll be nice and leave new guys alone. Unless they have a nice cargo.

but you don't get any loot from a player when they are destroyed (unless that was fix0red in the patch)
Thats a bit poor that. :(
