I would recommend wireless to everyone. once youve tried it, you will never look back.

Seriously though, its a wonderful concept, and i would be lost in the garden with a 90meter cat 5 cable if it wasnt for WiFi.

what would i need to intergrate wireless lan with my existing network?

it would be for 3 laptops.

i did here that wireless was like a hub, ie more devises on it the slower it goes, that true?

Can't say I've really noticed any slowdown tbh.

I have a part wired/part wireless network.

Use one wireless router with 3 wired otus (64 wireless if you're interested)

2 upstairs PCs wired through that, laptop and downstairs PC on wireless. works like a charm.

aye in my house we used a wired/wireless mix, 3 office pc's (well 1 is actually an Acorn riscPC, and another is a G3 mac...its all good) 2 pcs upstairs all wired through 10/100 switch, wireless access point goes into switch and we have 3 laptops and 1 tablet pc using this through wireless. the laptops are not used at all for gaming so i dont know how wireless would handle that, but certainly for browsing downloading and sending files it is plenty capable.

i dont notice any slow down, i have a wireless router, and i get download speeds of 60kbs+ on my laptop, with 512 adsl.

baring in mind the laptop is a 4 year old 233mhz acer thats not to bad,

so i would get this, if i didnt already have one ;)

Come on ppl buy this card you know you wanna ;) its unboxed I bought three and only ended up using two so im left with one and your getting it an such a cut down price

Kevin if you have three laptops you could either get three of these cards and work happy you dont need a hub

By which I assume he means its 1Mbps faster than a 10Mbps pci card.

Although the way he has it written it would appear he is trying to says its 11Mbps faster than other cards.

But thats just my view on things

yes Ekim was right just a missed comma the card is 11mpbs where as many pci nics are only 10mpbs so fore wireless is impressive its faster than a hard wired card
