We might as well pack them up in the van with all the other furniture because to be frank, an i-event without them would feel somewhat empty. Luckily i24 is no different to previous events and we have DJ back with us to let us play some of their hottest, newest toys.

This time round the belle of the ball is Bet on Soldier. BoS is a FPS action game based in warfare - doesn't sound too original? Well BoS looks to be anything but unoriginal. Not just content with adding to the world of war-themed shooters there seems to be at the minute, DJ have added an unusual twist - money. I'll let the Jesters do the talking:

This war is different... It wasn't started by religious conflict or territorial desires. Nobody really knows why it began. Eighty years of war pulls a shadow down over the past.

Two massive federations manage the war like a business. Their employees are mercenaries, valued on the stock market and paid per kill. But for the elite soldiers in this war, that pay is not enough.

The "Bet on Soldier" programme was created to entertain and to make a greater profit from the greed of the elite warriors. When two such soldiers compete, wagers may be placed on the outcome... providing a healthy income for battle-hardened veterans and sport for the masses.

we already have a movie on our FTP for you to take a look at, but if you get your slimy rear end down to i24 then you can have an play on the game itself and have a chat with some of the DJ guys - ask them about anything... the development process, the concept of the game, what their favourite breed of dog is - anything! They're real down-to-earth guys - they put their trousers on one leg a time like everyone else - be sure to stop by and say hello.

In the meantime why not have a nosey at their flashy BoS Website.
