Mym ate has generals and it wont work on xp plz could you tell me what is wrong

when he goes to load it up the error comes up and says like an illegal operration i said he may need to down load the new patch i not quite sure

Is that the one?

If it is, remove the game, and re-install it. Also, what OS?

That's quite a serious problem, using the patches are always a good idea but unlikely to help in this scenario.

Make sure he has the latest graphics card, sound and motherboard drivers for his hardware.
