Well, for starters the game is amazing, far far out does the first by a long long way!
I've been playing it for hours and hours on end for the last few days! and alas, my uni coursework has suffered, but who cares :D

Basically, i'm kinda stuck..
I have completed 48% of the game according to the stats in-game, but I can't find any more missions. Sure, there are plenty more submissions, or small races or whatever, but no actual mission missions that help u progress through the game.
To start off they just follow on from each other as in GTA3, but with Vice City you have to start to buy certain properties to be able to do more missions. But, i can't find any more properties to buy, i might have missed them, but i have been looking pretty hard.

Sonny keeps on ringing me on my phone but he ain't done anything about it yet. Whats going on?

Does anyone else have the game? If you liked GTA3, or if you thought it was OK, but coulda been better, Vice City is for you.
Its just endless fun. Its so much more fun to stare at an oncoming car face on and shoot the guy driving through the winscreen rather than always grabbing them outa the door!

I was never a big fan of doing missions, in GTA 1, 2 or 3 ...
I just liked random carnage!!! Driving fast cars, shooting people, evading the police etc and really this is what the GTA games are about!

thats whats great about gta3, you can drive like a looney or do the game properly and both are just as much fun imo. The GTA3 mission near the end where you had to get back to the construction site with a level 5 police force after you, god now THAT was crazy. Some of the stunts you have to pull to actually evade them (jumped off a bridge into the park at one point :D )

It kicks ass!
Although, it is pretty dam easy to get away from the cops if u've got youself a chopper. All you gotta do is fly about and swoop down occasionally and pick up some bribes, u don't get hassle in the air much except a few pesky police helicopters that try to shoot u but generally fail :]

unfortunetly, mine doesnt work !!!!!

loads the entry vid, but then when it starts to load the menu and crashes.

using XP, any1 know why? or is it just meh pc that is borked?

I just found the Hunter (Apache helicopter)
I knew it existed cause i got attacked by it once, but i didn't know i could fly it :D

Sainteh for 100% you need to have completed all missions. all the rampages, own all properties, done all unique stunts, have all the hidden packages, finished the vigilante, paradmedic and fire missions and done a certain amout of taxi rides etc etc. It is really a bitch, I only ever got up to like 80% on the PS2 version before going crazy. You supposedly get some extra stuff when you do 100% but I never reached it.

Sainteh you get the hunter when you have done the major story line or when you have all 100 hidden packages. You can get hours of fun out of the lovely beast :p:

And what are your favourite radio stations? I like Wave 106 and Flash the most, but Emotion isn't too bad (it has REO Speedwagon on it!!)

I do plan to try to get the 100%, i know i can do it, its just a case of time tbh.

I had this problem. Rename the 'movies' directory to 'movies2' and make a new directory called 'movies' in its place. Then run the game. That should sort you. Worked for me and a mate.

Go to the police station and get into one of their uniforms (the one closest to the night club you can buy) then try getting the army helicopter :)

by the way, if you cheated at any point, you can complete it 100%, well, its ok if you cheated and didnt save, but if you cheated at anypoint and saved after, you can only complete it so far.

i got it the other day! it runs like a dog though! the sound crackles like a hoe!

i have an xp2000+
creative ti4200
sblive 1024
512 ram

but it lags and when the sound crackles it lags! it slows like a bitch!

ne one else had this problem?

im dl service pack 1 for xp to see if it helps!

ne help would be good cos i want to really enjoy this game!

i have found it runs quite well.

im xp1600+ with 512 ram and gf3 ti200.

i run it at 1600 x 1200 fine, get very little lag (only maybe when a new sound comes in), but not really noticable. but, it does take most of my cpu, i cant really do anything in the background.

yeh, i think its for people who are having problems with graphics only. if u dont have any problems, dont install the patch :)
