Any good?

I was thinking of getting these;

Quality Wise?
Lannage Wise?
Comfy Wise?

For the use at SL15 also. As my plantronics audio .90 broke.

I have had two pairs of cordless headphones. Not too great for LANs if you are not transmitting sounds you find you hear other ppls gmaes through them.

One set of batteries lasted me the entire event

TBH I find the quality on all wireless headphones massively inferior to wired ones, if its range your after, get a headphone extender, your ears will thank you.

Also, not having to have all the extra guff in the headphones makes them lighter (no batteries or receiver see)

battery life is really good, apparently 24hours but ive never used them for that long at once.

something during the day time interfeers with mine, donno what it is though.

lanage though they are cooluntill you realise that your not actually listening to the game your playing and you spend a few hours wandering around finding people with cordless headphones to find which frequencey they are using so you can use anotherone

however i could hear my music playing from the other section at i15 down to the steps OUTSIDE at the front of the building

there pretty comfortable

For 50 quid you could get a good set of senhiesers, much superior sound quality and lan Friendly.

Make the right choice. :P

Ming,
for £50 you can get a decent set of headphones that happen to be senheiser's.
If however you find somewhere that is selling the good senheiser's for £50 let me know, I'll buy the lot and make a killing!

This was quite good at i-10
I got to hear music that people were listening to and their CS games. Very entertaining until I got fed up.
I went back to corded headphones after that.

Yeah I got a pair of those Defcon. Can't believe how expensive they still are, they were 60 when I got them, but that was a couple of years ago.

The range on em is excellent, they look good and are comfortable. The batterys last for ages too, which is useful for lans, but the best bit bout em is that you can sometimes hear mobil phone calls if you mess around with the tuning on em :D

lol me and my mate turned up at StratLAN with 2 pairs of identical Sennheisers, wireless, needless to say even those they have 2 channels, they auto seek, he ended up borrowing some corded ones, and also i still seemed to pickup sound from ppls movies sometimes :(

Wireless suck - noisy, low quality, the batteries go flat. And when you go to a LAN you're sitting 2 foot from your pc, you don't bloody need them.

Spend the cash on beer or something.

Take this from someone who drags his amp and sennheisers to LANs ;)

And with decent Sennheisers, when you stand up, if you're too lazy to take your headphones off. Just unplug the cable from the phones themselves. It detaches from both ends. :)

or if you stand up and forget, they detach themselves ;)

The cables are industructable. Kevlar lined (even on the cheap ones). Can run over them with desk chairs thousands of times.

He meant wired ones. Wireless = badness.

i took a set of these to i8 and i10, the battery on them was poor, the set i had, came with two batteries, one you leave on charge while you use the other one, the disgruntling thing was that they seemed to run out alot quicker than they did charge, so i found myself changing the battery every ten or so minutes by the second day.

As for sound quality, they were fine, i infact walked (in the old venue) to the loo from my computer, (about 30-40 yards or something) and forgot i had them on, and cud still hear the music when i got to the bog :D

also i didnt get any problems with hearing other peoples games/sounds etc.
