Newbie Level Trade Runs

Ive found a great way to make some cash to get you a good start.

First off do a few missions to get enough to buy a rhino and have about 11k spare, so your looking at needing about 20k.

Buy a rhino, then go to Detroit Munitions and buy 80 light arms

Take these to Freeport 2 which is past texas, and sell them for a nice large profit.

Then go from Freeport 2 to Hamberg (i think), and buy as many diamonds as you can.

Now go back to manhatten, sell diamonds. LOADSA MONEY!

repeat this until you have all the money you need to buy a nice big ship :)

a good one is taking NOBIUM from HOLMAN OUTPOST in TAU 31 at $320 pu

to STOKES MINING STATION in LEEDS and seeling it for $640 pu

ok so ure only doubling what u buy at but there only a system apart, u can take CONSUMER GOODS (i think) from leeds to HOLMAN OUTPOST fo evan more dosh

buy niodium at new tokyo sell it at ring hole in new berlin (make about 900-1000 on each one)

buy diamonds from planet new berlin, sell at planet new tokyo (make about 1000-1100 on each one)

Luxury Consumer goods from Denver Colorado to Planet New Tokyo, buy for $234 sell for $810 = $576 profit (per item).

Return Journey..

Engine Components from Planet New Tokyo to Denver Colorado, buy for $225 sell for $825 = $600 profit (per item).

If your not that strong, go via the Kepler system (it's a bit safer). Good profit with the bonus of it being a short run.


If xenos let you dock at their base, even easier money can be had by docking at Quary Base in the Colorado system, buying sidearms at $238, and selling them at Nome Base in the Kepler system (1 system jump), at $630 = $392 profit.

I always thought that you had to buy a freighter and trade loads, but i have a bretonian heavy fighter and you can still make loads of cash just moving comodities around, good strategy.

I do the "Round Robin" route

Buy Diamonds at Planet New Berlin and take them to Planet New Tokyo. Then buy Engine components at Planet New Tokyo and take them to planet cambridge. Then skip from Cambridge to Cardiff Mining facility (about 2 lane jumps) and buy Berylium which gets taken back to Planet New Berlin.

This ends up in a complete ring.

You make about 1100 to 1200 profit per unit, per stop.

If your cargo hold is 70 large, then in one run around the loop, you'll make about 230K in profit.

I now buy my diamonds even cheaper down in one of the Omega sectors.
