A few lines of advice for anyone who is a regular player.

Get used to using this forum as a front for your peddling.

If you're selling stuff, put it here. Want to hire someone? Want to get hired? Looking for a strike team? This is the place you need.

Work on a GMT basis so everyone can meet at the right times. Let's get this forum kicking a little :)

Wicksman, the top players arent usually hanging around the new york areas, they are off further out fighting. so when u start, you wont see any1 else about usually, and there are going to be high lvl players waiting to kill you, there isnt the incentive

Well I already police the rule that if I see anyone camping a planet to kill people, I will reset their account. Killing someone once is fine, it's in the game. Twice in minutes is borderline (there's a chance they MAY meet again quickly by accident), but 3+ times is a no-no.

I'm new to these forums. I found it as a result of searching for a persitsent server to play Freelancer on. I trust I have found one?
Just completed the single player game, so now ready to start the real thing. I can't bear the thought dedicating months to create a great character only to loose the serveer !!!

Maybe see some of you tonight. I'll try out the 212.42.10.131 universe. I'll be the one running like crazy from rogues no doubt.

It doesnt take months to make a good character, you can do it in under 24 hrs :)

24 hours, that's a very late night ! If you have a wife reminding you of all the other things you should be doing (like getting up at 6.30am) it can take a while ! I've tried to educate her, but she thinks its just silly. However, saying that I did manage to get 24 hours ish in the SP done in less than 3 weeks. Not bad for me !!

The drawback at power gaming yourself to 38 in 24h is that it gets kinda boring afer that.
So no need to rush.

That's it. The reason I searched for this site was to find a server I could take my time on. Slow and easy. That's the way. Developing a good character is a bit like gardening really. Work a little bit often for best results, and greater enjoyment.

I still regret never making it to Elite level back in the 80's. Now's my chance. And no more green cubes for space stations either !!! Anyone else remember those?

btw. wouldnt it be nice if you could fly all the way to planet surface instead of those silly docking rings (like in later Elites)

i usually play in Sir Warwicks, nice low ping in there. but im looking to broaden my horizens as they say :P

im also looking for a job whilst in the server any ideas give me a shout, i can build my ship up pretty fast no a days with some help from a high level fighter:D
