Q3 scottish LANage

Hey all

Just checking out the scene for Lanage in scotland.

This uprising lan looking at the registered applicants, it appears not many Q3er's and reading the threads below this one it seems that you guys are in favour of UT rather than Q3. :((

What's the deal if I turn up will no one play Q3 with me ? No Q3 tourney?

that topic is due to be decided at the next meeting which will be either this week or next , as soon as we know we'll update the news.

people will play q3 with you whether we have a tourney or not and there will be servers up.

Q3 will be played as Moonlight said.
The topic for discussion is which of the two games Q3 or UT2K3 will we have the tournament for. Now as Moonlightshadow said this will be finalised at an Admin meeting either this week or next along with some other fine detials that need sorting.

q3 stays as main tournament , there may be a ut2k3 competition this time as a trial run :)

Ok ok ok... so it seems that Quake3 is gonna be used even though it was made perfectly clear that UT2k3 is a bigger game and is in more demand. The only reasons I`ve been given for this are that Quake3 was used at the previous events etc etc etc blah blah.. What a ****ing joke springs 2 mind. I also got told that "if there was time" there could be a ut2k3 tourney but when i pointed out that there was plenty of time, considerin that the whole q3 tourney took a max of 3 hours or so, the admins still didnt wanna listen...... offered help tons of times, said me and chron could do stuff on the day, gave them sites for help etc but still, they just didntt wanna listen. Only reason i can think of is that they happen to be good m8s with rob and co. I think its perfectly clear thats the only reason q3 has been chosen rather than ut2k3 and quite frankly i think its ****in pathetic..
"Next event" is what im told, even though me and chron been on at them since the event before last......

no , it's because q3 has been run since day 1 , we have people who have signed up specifically for the q3 competition this time round , we never said we would swap it this time , we said we would look into it , we did and it seems a better idea to run q3 as usual this time and get ut2k3 sorted properly for next time , with a sort of trial run this time.

Obviously one set of people was going to be disappointed here , either the q3'ers or the ut2k3'ers , we've tried to come somewhere in between by offering a competition instead of a main tournament , sorry you guys dont appreciate that.

I don't believe you were ever told next lan astz as it was never planned up untill the last meeting we had. Actually astz , you're waaay too upset about this imo.
