Anyone got it yet? Is it worth the asking price?

Well, I decided to risk it from Game and bought it... it's stonking!!!

The controller is pretty awesome... comes in 4 parts... left joystick module, central button section, right joystick controller and three sturdy pedals (accelerate, brake and sidestep). Lots of the buttons light up and flash at you (for instance, the 'change magazine' button will light up if your ammo clip runs dry) and it even has an eject button stashed under a flip-top cover, so you don't press it by accident. It's just a shame it's not force feedback.

I wanted to jump right in but there doesn't appear to be a training mission and you actually have to read the manual just to find out how to fire up your mech, oops, sorry, VT (Vertical Tank), as you need to hit buttons and switches in the right order to get it started.

I've only done the first two missions (and I'm not sure how many missions there are in total) and I'm sure I'm missing out a lot of features as I'm a typical IT person and haven't read any more of the manual than how to start the VT but I love it :)

Has anyone else got this yet... I think there's a problem with my controller as the plastic bits that hold the three sections together don't fit flush... and I'm sure they are meant to... wanted to check before lugging it back to Game.

played it the other day on my mate xbox brillant a must buy


only thing is a present in the middle of building a second PC and installing a network at home so all my money is going into that which dont leave any for steel batallion
