Hi all. a when ut2003 came out i rushed home and installed it fine. Recently i had to format my system etc. But now it wont install

it throws up

UT2003 Setup Build UT2003_Build_[2003-02-13_18.53]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel Unknown processor @ 2274 MHz with 511MB RAM
Video: No Video

Assertion failed: GetClassInfoExW( NULL, WinBaseClass, &Cls ) [File:Window.cpp] [Line: 1056]

History: WControl::RegisterWindowClass <- UWindowManager::UWindowManager <- InitWindowing

everytime :( Ive looked round for a fix on the webpage and there doesnt seem to be 1 apart from formatting and trying again. Has anyone else had this and found a way past it ?

Video: No Video

Strange error, never encounted before, but here is a random guess...

Have you installed your graphics card drivers yet?, have you set up your screen res x no of colours (to 16bit or 32bit).

Finally if you've done that, try making an image of the disk(s) and install from them (incase your machine isn't reading the cd's correctly).

Good Luck...

nah No Video comes up with 90% of errors, unfortuantly it has nothing to do with it =/

hi all thanks for all the ideas and replys. in the end i managed to trace the fault to a missing file. I dont know how the file went missing but it was a system file. riched32.dll

once i replaced that it installed instantly :)

but thanks again for the help

I have seen that error before fixed by using the original exe in the latest patch not a cracked version :>
