First of all... GREAT LAN :D
File Leaching... an inevitable part of LANS....
but why was the Pings So shocking?
I remember at Lanwarfare (R.I.P) we all leached & pings niver went over 25
I also didn't think the DHCP server was configered Correctly!
Mafia getting Booted from network now and again... me not being able to see other PC's at times....????
Q3 Tournie!.. I'm a novice at it.. only installed it at LAN... but if i knew wot map it was on then i'd have practiced it on that map...
Idea!!!! post a Poll & get users to vote on which maps... U could also do the same with the CS tournie!
Train.. pfft.... :p
wot else?..... erm...
I can't fault anything else...
i think if these points taken onboard Next LAN will P0wn.. Big StyleE
I made some new friends... & enemys..
/me looks at TermA :p
& will look forward to next LAN

Wpld to all clans who played us (ssis)
sah, ItM, 5J & Gophers ( we left before playing marines.. tactial retreat :p)
Played 4 won 2 lost 2 drew 0 Rounds won 57 Rounds lost 39.. a not to bad weekend tbh imo!
nn GL & HF ALL!

ta jockeh , hope u guys can stay the full period next time.

File leeching isnt allowed , we'll just have to enforce it more fully , need a couple more floor admins tbh. Maybe if people really want to share something (legal of course) they could bring their own crossover cable? If there was a lot of leeching going on at lanwarfare im sure there must have been lag too.

However we did have a problem on our linux box , especially when we were running two servers from it , seemed not too bad when we ran one though.

We will be working on all the problems we spotted and intermiitant lag is our main target to stop.

I'll bring my own switch like i did last time then :X

Private network winnij.

That said, if your using switches file sharing shouldnt affect ping as each port has an equal amount of bandwidth?

not a network pro but that was my understanding.

yeah i think we were using a couple of hubs though , switches as far as i know send to the proper port instead of sending to all ports as in hubs .

BTW , dust is an ownage map , yeah its been overplayed , but thats hardly reason to say its a crap map :)
