XBox Outsells PS2

Yep it's official. The Xbox is outselling the PS2. OK.. OK, we are leading you on a little bit. Yes the Xbox IS outselling the PS2 but not in the 3 key markets (America, Europe and Japan).
This great news is from South Korea where the Xbox is outselling the PS2 at a ratio of 3:1.
This is all down to Microsoft focusing it's advertising on key games and the power of the console compared to it's rivals.
Could Microsoft do the same in Europe? Probably not for the console but for XBox Live they could bring the service in with a bang. Only time will tell...

A lot of people are buying XBox's in Europe though. For a while I was the only who I knew who had one. Now loads of my family and friends have got them.

Argos and Dixons are also going to stop selling the Gamecube soon, because of poor sales. I'm sure Xbox will have bigger coverage in both stores because of this.

Argos only dropped the price for a week and now they are putting it back up.
Dixons has stopped all together though.

Gamecube all the way!!! And as for gamecube sales dropping that will all change when Zelda is released, on the other hand all nintendo fans like myself probably went out and got there GC on opening day, oh well.

There is only 1 decent game (well 2) on Game Cube.
Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2.

I sold my Game Cube for that reason. It's dying a slow death since Nintendo don't care about it's European customers enough to release games quicker.

Look muppet boy u cant condem like a hundred games youve never played to be crap, u only think they are crap because someone else says ther are, try making ure own decisions, and theres plenty of great games for GC, Rouge leader, Super smash bros melee, the tony hawks series Metroid prime, Pikmin, all great fun games, and this just in,... belive it or not games can still be good even if u dont like them, lerne something new everyday... please!

I said I had a Game Cube.
The games I did play I didn't like.
I'm not saying I didn't like them cos I didn't play them.

Rouge leader - Don't like Star Wars
Super smash bros melee - Never liked it
Tony Hawks series - Can get it on XBox
Metroid Prime - This looks OK but came out too late to save me selling my GC
Pikmin - OK for 20 mins when you get bored of it. (or I did)
Zelda - Never liked any of this series

Maybe it's cos I prefer the older targetted games of XBox like Halo, DOAX, Oddworld series, MotoGP, Project Gotham Racing etc. Cutesy graphics just don't do it for me anymore.
And XBox Live is great for online play.

I was always a SEGA fan over Nintendo. Ahhhh those were the days when SEGA and Nintendo was the console wars :)

clearly a great social machine
so many crap games that are amazing multiplayer

spent the week playing godzilla on the GC with 4 other 4 ppl
rubbish game, but sooooooo fun
nintendo seem to be the only ppl daring to be different as displayed here (http://www.capcom.co.jp/gamecube/english.html)

as for the xbox, nothing short of shen mue 3 will make me buy it,
and sony can kiss my a$$

I played Shenmue 1 + 2 on Dreamcast, gonna get Shenmue 2 on Xbox with free DVD (w00t) and play through that one again.

It's just a shame Shenmue 3 is the last in the series as they are cutting it short.
Although there are rumours of a Shnmue movie coming out after that (ala Final Fantasy) to cover the whole story.

although yu suzuki is handing control over to the chap who ported it to the xbox, Shin Ishikawa
bit of a shame really
but if all is kept the same then no complaints here, yu suzuki has written all the chapters to the game (16 i think) so hopefully the new guy cant **** up the formula

Ok so is it me, or being a PC gamer, why would you want to get an Xbox?
I could be totally wrong but I don't see its worth for like one or two games that aren't available on the PS2 or Cube.

Personally I would say PS2 all the way, but then that is mainly because of my addictions for certain games on it.

Unfortunately I haven't, it was in the Official XBox Magazine a couple of months ago. I'm trying to find a site that might have it, failing that I'll email SEGA direct and tell em it's for XBox Addicts :)

As for reasons to buy an XBox. There are plenty if you like games that are on it but thats the same for any console.

there was a lot of hype about shen mue 3 being the last, but i believe they wont decide till they see the reception shen mue 3 gets.

yer there are a load of good games on the xbox
but for me to buy a console i need a game that screams for me (resident evil series on the gamecube, soul calibur on the dreamcast) i then explore the games on said console

dont get me wrong im not bashing the xbox
there just hasnt been a game on it that i cant live without, yet

will prolly get 1 to play shen mue 2X anyway

Still, I hope they do release a Shenmue movie. As long as they did it right it would be worth seeing.

I totally understand about getting a console based on games that scream at you. I fell into the trap of buying a Game Cube and then I realised I'd grown out of the cutey graphics from the 1st party games and I never did like Resident Evil, I preferred Silent Hill.
