These lads seem to have a great sense of humour and seem a great clan to play against. Quote from their last match report "
Before the upcoming battle we had our last bratwurst with a stale beer from the last supplyconvoy two weeks ago. Our morale was high, our equipment was ready, and we looked forward to the slaughtering of the Allied vermin.. Swallowing the last sausage we run to our tanks, jeeps and planes.. I even caught one of our pilots sticking an extra wurst into his breastpocket, probably thinking that he could munch that while patrolling the quiet skies"

I'm definatly not in for this one - I have a friend over from England and I'll be at the Liestal fire festival at that time. I'll take lot of piccies and post them cause the firefestival is just leet.

It's like bonfire night on steroids and all the fire is in big carts that get dragged around the town burning stuff. Also ppl carry big broomstick things over their shoulder that are all on fire.

On Monday it's fasnacht - a big Basel carnival - tis lheet :)

Zak will be admin and Squire will sort the server out if bvark isn't around

Be warned - they appear to have som every good pilots. They also appear to hanger camp so be aware. This match won't be easy.

I vote that we don't use the B17 on Gazala, just use extra fighters to dominate the sky.

I'm not in and neither is bvark - someone please volunteer to write a decent AAR (nothing wrong with more than 1 person writong one..)

Make sure the scores get written down and screenshots taken

Sorry Jerky, we really needed me in to lose Midway, so we had to sub you out!

AAR:

Midway:
Good starts, bad naval work and bad work reclaiming the south island characterised our performance. Very solid aerial attack and good capping work on the tank characterised theirs. These were smart cookies, and we made a number of mistakes that they were quick to capitalise on. Losing our carrier in the first round did not help at all.
Silk's bombing was the high point in an otherwise scrappy round in which we had almost no attrition, and were bleeding for much of it. Commander takes full responsbility for bad coordination and bad use of the navy - we're considering new tactics now.

Gazala:
Swift Aerial Justice was handed out to any MPUK player stupid enough to get into a vehicle, and we lost 9 planes in a row trying to shoot down two of their fighters (ACE and Nanek, who will need to be found and shot before any rematch). It is impossible to underestimate the quality of their pilots, who could perform strafing and bomb runs on two targets within 2s, win 3vs2 and 2vs1 dogfights without serious concern, and cycle round for runs every 5-10s in attacking.

Second round went rather better than the first, with a take and hold of our flag and the town that stopped us bleeding for the majority of the game, and a good effort by a lot of AA people. This is a VERY hard map to get back into once you're down, and so the high ticket differences are not necessarily indicative of how well we played. Kudos to the air force for performing a large number of suicide missions without complaint, and thanks to Squire for good commanding in the face of adversity.

Summary:
Several of our key players unavailable today, a lot of folks playing out of position, a map we dislike, an on form enemy and a commander full of excuses. These were the reasons we lost.

Medals:

Bronze Star for Silk75 for bombing the enemy tank on Midway nearly as many times as we were bombed on Gazala.
Reduced pension for Cmdr. bvark for incompetence in Midway command
