OK... A little more info is needed. What type of ram do you need? (DDR, SDRAM, Rambus, SIMMs.)

What speed do you need? (DDR 333, PC133 SDRAM etc.)

What size dimms do you need? You say you have 256. is that 2 x 128MB sticks or just 1 x 256MB stick? How many slots do you have left and whats the maximum your motherboard can take in a single slot? IE. Do you just want another 512MB stick or another 2x 256MB sticks?

If it's SIMM's or Rambus RAM you need then remember you need to upgrade in pairs.

i currently have 2x128mb ram sticks i need more so 2x256 would be nice no i do not need to upgrade in pairs or anything or i could do with 1x512mb and 1x256 or 128mb stick of ram so how much would that cost?

That still doesn't really help, as everyone needs to know the speed/type of memory you need.

i.e. SDRAM is cheaper than DDR, but your mobo will probably only take one sort .... so any ideas which one.

but anyway... tittac obviously has 2x sticks of conventional ram at a guess...


but anyway if it is it doesnt matter if you mix PC133 and PC100 as it will run at PC100...


so take the stick out.. .... if its got 2x groves in it.. i.e two slits (one in the middle and one at the end) then its SDRAM and you can get 512megs of the loverly stuff at www.microdirect.co.uk for £45

if it only got ONE slit in it then its DDR... loook on the side of it to see what type it is... but it will most likely be PC2100 or DDR266.. and you can also get that at our loverly friends at microdirect. :D

but i should imagine you just want regular kit... not the fanie crossair stuff with heat spreaders on (as there no point if you got regular at the moment so.....
