Many thanks to boffbowsh and bvark for being able to sub for our resident fops Lucifa and Wildthing. If you sign up for a match then turn up. If you do this too much then you'll be selected less and less simply because we don't expect you to turn up, at which point we question your worth to the clan.
A note to all - when you sign up, sign up with a YES or NO. If you are not definate then state "Put me in as a sub".
Thx to Catachan and JeRky for letting me know in decent time that you can't play. Incidentally, I prefer a PM in irc to a post on the forums if you can't play and need to let me know at short notice. After the squad is posted the forums are no longer checked.
AAR:
Midway:
Allies:
A terrible terrible start. 1st n00by HalOS spawned in the wrong place and Njoroge and Squire both released the LCs from clamps before Psym could board so all in all the start was slow and utterly ****e. After we got into the match a little we played the round much better which was aided by much much better comms. I realise that I may have scared people into using comms too little but at least we are approaching the right balance now - the last few matches have been way off the scale. Some great defensive teamwork on the south island by nj and psym, and great offensive work by squire.
Axis:
Much much better start. Lovely plane work in general and I loved the navy this round - good killing, good capping and good holding. Some awesome work by our multi-roled leader bvark - assault, sub, destroyer and AA all in 1 round - very well played. Again lovely south island defense and great recapping. Very well played - a very good round with everyone following orders, staying curt on comms and killing with vicious effiecency.
Market Garden:
Axis:
A nice start on MG and a nice round played. It's very hard to win as Axis on MG, but I think we played a great round. Some nice ground work by Silk75. At the end squire remarked with "Wow, I thought we would have won" - it's true, we played a great round, but sadly their defense in the seconds half of the game got the betetr of us - wp DNH. AT one point we capped all of their spawns and then in no more than 2 minutes they took them all back from us! That was an awesome multi-attack by DNH, one of the best I've seen.
Allies:
Another bad start this round but this time not due to incompetance, more to unlucky spawn locations. After getting on our feet we capped all the flags, but lost the church to their initial tank. We bounced around not having all the flags for a long time, but in the end we won at the end of the 20 mins. Very nice round never with a dull moment. DNH attacked hard even when behind and they also annoying nicked far too many planes - maybe 10acious was playing for them in disguise...
Summary:
A nice bunch of guys with a friendly admin. All in all a nice match and good playing by MPUK. A big thankyou to MPUK for following orders and improving comms (on MG they got a bit messy on occasion). Thanks to DNH and to the MPUK guys (discounting the muppets that didn't sign up)
As their admin put it:
<Cheops{S}> We are a good clan, but you play a better :)
Medals:
Air medal for AcidUK for some great AA work on midway and some lovely strafe and bombing runs on MG. Multi-roled soldiers are very much appreciated in the MPUK squad.
Blood stained beating stick for Psym for spilling enemey blood to the extend of running out of ammo and beating the **** out of them with the butt of his gun.
Wooden bombing medal of accuracy for Silk75 for making sure all of his bombs hit the ground (regardless of friendlies in the vicinity)
gg wp thx all.

About allies midway.
I actually waited in the LC for 2 secs, and saw you drop NJ (I assume by accident). I thought I then saw Psym go overboard into your dropped LC and presumably die. A quick comms also gave me that impression.
I apologise to you all if I get a little annoyed somtimes in game, but mistakes were made that should not have been. And I dont mean accidental mistakes like the odd TK or accidental LC launch. Midway is our home map, yet it seems that sometimes our players dont know what they should be doing! For gods sake please pay attention and not only know your role, but be aware of other peoples as well so that if you have to fill in for them, you can at least do so with some semblance of competence.

Weird one this. I went to NJ's LC and was holding E but it wouldn't let me in. He left after waiting a second or two, and since I was near enough on top of it I fell off and into the sea. I did the sensible thing and blamed the nearest person to me at the time (sorry NJ ;)), but now I realise it was actually all Mav's fault. :D
Anyway, I really enjoyed that game - I haven't had a proper bf game for a while and it was good fun.

Look I was using a heavy bomber on the US side.
If you don't display multicoloured smoke and mapable IFF tags when in a tank, how do you expect me to avoid bombing you in what is basically a carpet bomber?
:)
Anyway I enjoyed the game

My apologises for being a complete ass but truth is it was Mavs fault and my gf beckoned. Very sorry i just truly forgot. I accept my verbal lashing full heartedly and wish for some more but in a more friendlier manner... SAHR!
