Why isnt any one into DOD

Hey my brother is dod lover he is really into it and when he and i went to the lan last time we were surprised not many were willing to play it (maybe due to a "l33t" player saying its crap)
i managed to get a few of my m8s to play it and they love it
and my brother says that he wants to MOOK at it again(if i got the name right)

I much prefer DoD over CS, I'm only sat in the TFC section at i15 so I can be with my mates ;)

DOD is BF1942 without...

DoD has good graphics, some of the best in HL mod terms.

Sometimes I prefer a small more close combat syled game of DoD over a big open disorganised BF1942 one.

Plus in the past I have play bf1942 on a 56k (and still do) but I get a better game of dod out on my 56k than well... Bf...just a lag thing.

Another thing is DoD can use voice comms that work really well and the radio commands seem somewhat better.

because of the size of bf1942 many thigns can become disorganised and you end up with no one working paticulirly well as a team. and the way in that the radio commands refer to grid reference is kinda annoying at times.

So what have i been rambling about...

I like to mix and match some DoD for the close combat solid fragging or bf1942 for some great big open solid fragging ;)

and dod is better for a closer quarter fight, tho BF is fun with all those perdy planes......

DoD's my game ;) Been playing its since the alphas and love it, the problem with BF1942 is plainly cus its utter pants ;) no realism at all, While dod takes abit more time etc, i've found out DoD apeals to the more ww2/History lovers.. so i take it those who dont like it, never took History :)

I got an 87 on the A level WW2 paper, and can identify almost every firearm used in the war by sight (excepting the really obscure stuff) and much prefer BF. just because its not as real isnt to say its not as fun.
