(belated AAR) Zak's McKrackens vs Silk's Ilks: Tuesday 18th February.

Allies, The ilk's hit us hard early on and some poor torpedoing by myself failed to inflict any damage on the enemy. Thankfully the rest of the team fared a little better and we managed to hold on to the island for long enough to bleed their tickets below ours. After that it was a bloody land action, with a stately retreat by the McKrackens towards the north end of the island. As we fell back we inflicted heavy damage on the enemy and ended the round slightly ahead for a minor victory. Special mention must go to the WK boys for not losing the north and jerky for an extremely spirited (and effective) defence of the north base. WP all.
Axis, well now it was our turn and we stopped the bleed quickly with early caps in the north & south. The ilks drove us off the island once more, however I had piloted the ship around the island and this allowed a variety of probing attacks in the LC's to keep the enemy busy. Once the ship was in position off the landing beach bootz + nj had already capped it and advanced behind covering artillery fire to claim the south village. Meanwhile someone (i think it was jagged) had managed to cap the north spawn and held onto it well, supported by spawning players as required. Following the capture of the airfield we awaited the respawning of the tanks, with good use made holding the static guns to the north of the airfield. Once everyone was ready we launched a two pronged attack on the final enemy outpost. 2 tanks and 4 infantry with bootz in reserve at the airfield in case they tried anything sneaky (cheers for that bootz, a somewhat dull but very necessary task). The assault hit in synchronisation... "Game over man!".

Allies, the McKrackens kicked off on the allies side and everyone had their roles. 10 and bootz GTA'd it down the cost to claim the west spawn, jerky & jagged took to the skies, aciiid & freelancer chugging down the coast in tanks towards the village and myself at sea again looking for naval supremacy.
This round proved difficult, flags were capped back and forth and we came under some vicious shelling from the sea after I abandoned my destroyer for a dismount's role. However, everyone fought back well, with good infantry recaps of the village, a stern defence of the west flag and some sneaky thefting of their south mountain flag. Another minor victory on timeout.
Axis, we'd learned a few things from the last round and started well. 10 put the wheels back on his jeep and got to the west spawn in record time, then bootz + 10 defended the west spectacularly for the rest of the game with 10 even recording a tank victory over the infamous Muldoon. Jerky and Jagged owned the skies, effectively harrying allied forces as they tried to attack the flags we held. Our double agent Njorgoe returned with enemy intelligence and proved a useful addition to many positions - spawning round the map like a flurry of frogs on heat. Aciid and freelancer held the village well at times switching to south flag and supported by temporarily downed airmen. And I sank the entire opposition fleet 6 times then shelled people lots, bwahahahahahah. A very solid performance all round that at times saw us holding all 4 capturable flags and pounding the allies in their base. The round ended a major victory to the McKrackens.
Summary:
Only one medal to be awarded,
10acious receives the Distinguished Royal Order of the Ferret, allowing him to append ROF to his name.
The rest of the Mckrackens receive a promotion to marine and a case of fine port.
The Ilks receive a case of Tennant's Super and a bottle of strongbow.
