Feedback...runs very well IMO... was pinging 133(56k freeserve) with 3 players and went to 180ish with 18 players..

Yep, plays well for me as well and im on 56k pings were good, no lag/choke etc.

right firstly is that the bookable one we played on last night, cos that rox, there was about 10 maybe 12 and i was pinging at about 30, i mean this is unheard of for me and DoD, normally about 50.

Why admin mod? Admin mod sucks, and always has done.

admin mod is nice and easy in comparison to rcon imo....not as usefull though

I haven't found admin mod to make an admins life easier, and if your admins can't cope with rcon commands, get new admins - it's easy!

On a FF off server, Admin-mod reduces the number of admins needed.
I recommended FF off to wizzo, as MPUK was only gunna run one public server ATM.
But I still, recommend admin-mod as it allows plugins to be used which can automatically make everyones game much more enjoyable.

Examples:
Swear filter.. Not everyone likes it... But From a GSP's Point of view, its nicer to have a swear free server than a server full of swearing muppets. I personally swear my head of in real life, but don't see the need to do it while online/ingame.. Waste of typing/playing time IMO. ( /me opens can of worms)

Console Greets
Any GSP should be using these, as its a sure way to advertise your company to players who are floating from server to server.


Having admining various servers for over 4 years... I neither agree or disagree with the easy of admin mod/rcon
You get used to both and can quiet easily use both to do the job required.

Rcon kick does exactly the same as admin_mod kick.
