A simple question for you,
Have you ever seen/heard of the film platoon?
I thought everyone had, its one of the greatest vietnam films ever, yet I cannot find anyone under 20 who has seen it and I have already asked 23 people.

Its good, well acted and has good exciting moments, but the looooooooooooong stretches in between them just make it a dull film. All that controversy about real animal killings was a **** though. Cannibal holocaust (the origional, not the cut down for british video version) has far more graphic (and real) animal deaths.
Btw, I have heard of and seen platoon. From what I can remember it was alright.
Prefered FMJ.
(20 btw, nearly in the bracket)

I'm 19 and I'm a big fan of platoon.
I've just done a strawpole of about 20 of my friends and all the boys had seen it and none of the girls had the faintest idea.
My brother is 17 and most of his friends have seen it too.

Full Metal Jacket has probably the best intro to any film made.
