OK Beat this,

1 Golf Diesel.
3 Computers + 17" TFT.
All drowned in a flooded ford on Friday Night! Water was 3-4ft deep! Inknet is now called SinkNET!

Juggy Lost Golf Diesel N REG Plus complete system with 450GB.

May they rest in peace.

Driver = Wet but alive.

Sarcasm floods from all friends.

i would have thought the Golf Diesel would have kind of kept going since diesel engines can run in water,

must have been a hell of a flood!

no doubt next summer we'll have hose pipe bans due to lack of water :P

Must remember to pack blow-up dingy for next lan .....

Forget women and children first, computers and monitors first ....

Jugster, with you pcs in the car, didn't you think it may have been safer to have found another way than to cross the flooded ford :(

i have to say driving through a flood with upwards of £4000 worth of PC equipment would not cross my mind. No matter how much i wanted to get there...

well after total imersion in water most of the pc should work fine, (however it will need rinsing off with fresh water prior to being dried) but the hdd's are likely to have had it! modern HDD's are not sealed units and water will get into the drive housing and cause havoc.

Well All very wise Words!

I will NOT cross another ford.

And the PC Kit has not yet been tested, I am doing that on saturday, so fingers crossed!

I am NOT insured for the PC Equipement! Bugger!
So will have to see what works and what dont, 450GB of HD's all water logged!

Do you think I could put them on a spin cycle?

Anywho! Thanks for the words.,.

See ya soon!

I got a new car! (This one has a periscope!).

Juggy!

You could be lucky with the drives, If when you tip them from side to side you cant hear any liquid moving about it's worth trying to spin them up. The filter on a modern HDD should hold out water for a short period of time.

Sorry to hear about the car and comps. But hey, I crashed my car today after having a major blowout. I hit a bank and a curb as well as doing a 360 degree spin. I got it started and moved off only to find i had two flats and only 1 spare wheel :( I also think my tracking is now out. I have only had the car three weeks as well. F***ing french cars (Saxo) I am gonna sell it and get a new bicycle. (j/k)
I am gutted coz i need to get it fixed before i14 for the weekend.

But anywayz, I am sure they will work after you dry them out.

I tried to come t the rescue :P

tried to pull that damn Golf out for 45 minutes, thinking the flood levels were too high we gave up and started to bail all the equipment out! After we got last thing i noticed Juggy had left the handbrake on andthe car in gear :( lol thats what hapens when u stand in -5 water for 58 minutes :(

We couldnt be bothered so we left her to sink :( We got back and started to strip it all down, Knutta's PC was striped wiped and dried and put back together :) all seems to work, Jugster however made a nice Water garden effect! But we hopefully saved a bit of it! Hope fully that 512 PC2700 stick :P

I live in Redditch - may have to bring this post in on paper and show your Boss - unless u provide me with lots of free McBiggies!

Cheer up Jugster - it could been worse - could of been my stuff!

In his defense the ford did look low untill the middle! :P

I will put my PC back together on Saturday and let you all know if it works!

I would have felt worse but I found out that Ginga ( Who sadly works for me!) trashed his Post Man Pat Van only 2 weeks after passing his test! ( KIDS!)

but the spit is proberly pre-packaged there! everything else there is!

imagine.... 100gallons of spit! (just microwave for 30 seconds)

and you got that authentic (not real but almost) taste (bit like the mayo, but lets not go there!)

/me now got images of underpaid school kids sat out in a sweat shop for 1p/hour spitting in buckets!
