Im after an old, completly dead flat screen if anyone has one.
dont even care if the screen is missing, I need one of the circuit boards out of it for modding a laptop screen to a VGA socket.

my freind has a 17" broken TFT, he put 2 screw drivers on opposite sides of the monitor and it broke it :rolleyes:
ive just rang him and he says he'll check out the post tonight, im about to email him the link :)

no good im afraid, I have a screen from a laptop, but it's digital, VGA = analogue. I need the controler unit thingy from the back of a monitor so i can do the analogue -> digital thing.

Nothing I do ever goes to plan....
the technical description is called "winging it" :D
Im gonna try and follow a guide I found on a web-site. The link I posted in the case modding forum that BaDDaSS started.

your friend dropped me an e-mail about the screen, I replied but never heard anything back.. Did I scare him away with his broken screen :(
If not, can you give him a gentle kick from me if he still wants shot of it.

You should have asked while I was at work experience, I had to carry around loads of TFT monitors, I could have “accidentally” dropped one…
