ive been playing cs for a year and a 1/2 now, and still picking up things.
you wont learn everything overnight.
my biggest tip is probably awareness. so many ppl play and don't keep track on whats going on around them
e.g. significant noises such as doors opening, footsteps getting louder around the next corner, how many of your team and their team are still alive. Noticing which way people go from the spawn point, so when you see them get shot, you know where they went (as well as from your radar).
You've gotta try and give yourself the best advantage to staying alive and killing others.
Next big tip is learn your guns. Know what they're capable of, how to fire them, where to aim, how to adjust, planning ahead so you find cover to reload or be prepared to get your pistol/knife out quickly. You rarely have time to reload so you've gotta be adaptive.
Best thing imo is to just play different servers, watch people play, watch clans, understand tactics if they'll tell you about them. You'll pick up bits and pieces on the way, theres so much to it.
