Just realised it's on StratLAN weekend. Won't be able to make it I'm afraid.

Might not be the best time to have a match.
Its on the StratLAN sunday, and neither myself or wizzo will be able to play (for sure). I dont know who else this will effect (Catachan, Boffbowsh?)
Also, wizzo will not be available for fiddling with the server.

We currently have 4 definates and 1 maybe

If we don't have a definate 6 players by Saturday I'll cancel the match, but I really don't want to so please sign up!

Shad| and alipuk would be useful to trial in this game.

Given we won't have our strongest team I suggest a cookie cutting map - Battleaxe would be ideal

looks like weve got 8 or 9 for this game so far.

is it 8v8 or 12v12?

8 or 9?
nj, gifted, eskimo, andyf, jerky = 5

I doubt Psym and Zak will make it. Would be good to have bootz there and the erst of the maybe's there, but you need to count the definates, not the maybe's.

thx to jerky (who I hope has some skills ;) ) we are up to 5, but it's not looking like a strong turnout - getting better though

Hi MPUK.

I can see by your posts you may have trouble getting a team together for Sundays match due to your lan party this weekend.

We can supply mercs for your team and make numbers up to 12 v 12 if needed as its just a friendly scrim (the first of many i hope).
Or we can postpone until a later date, choice is yours.

FYI we have been in your server and it works well, even for our members spread around the globe., so no problems there:)

let me know what you want to do and which maps we are likely to be playing.

Later guys

thx blakey - we have a definate 6 now, and it's normally easy to pick up mercs from our channel to make up the numbers. It may have to be an 8v8 rather than 12v12, but we'll see how many ppl we end up with.

If it's ok with you I suggest Operation Battleaxe for a primary map and then if we feel like playing another, we can go for one of your choice.

Let us know though so we can set up the config (read: so nj can learn how to use rcon)

Game's on, looking forward to it.

Good luck all, realistically Myself and Psym will not be back in the game until November. All thanks to the utter GLACIAL SLOWNESS of BT's cancellation process.

On a brighter note I'm using this time to develop a passion for fingerpainting and learning to butcher pigs - sometimes both at once...

It is almost impossible to comprehend your level of ineptitude Zak. Please sort it.

On a lighter note, Silk75 is currently rebuilding his new PC into a new case in the other room, and will probably join you as a triallist - if he can find this post on the forums.

If I break all known speed limits going home from StratLAN, I will also join you. Do not count on this.

battleaxe sounds good mate.
We would like to play Kursk as a second map one if we get time.

We're looking forward to it.

Morning MPUK.

Can you please confirm passwords/timings etc for tonights match, also likely number of players.
We would like to have 12v12 if possible, and if needed we have lots of members eager to play if you need mercs.

Hmmmmm, so much for the usual private server then:rolleyes: ;)

At least I was asked to leave before you kicked me...:)

I did wonder for a second if you guys were still in a match, but the tags for the other team didn't point to that at all....

Anyways,

Hope it went well guys,

Cheers,

Nick :)

Well it was nice to have a game, but it was a bit of a farce

Results:
1 round won on battleaxe with an average ping of 200 per player on their US server

1 round won on Battleaxe on our server with randoms joining and being kicked - sorry for that guys (footlong, at the point you were kicked we were just starting on the server, so IDs were being read out to me and I was booting ppl)

2 rounds won on Kursk again with constant kickage

(no screenies)

thx to rb for the game.

Squad:
Nj
Groodles
Helier
Jerky
Maverick
Eskimo
AndyF

Also thanks to Blakey and SAS-0 for merc'ing for us (both rb players). Special thanks to dogmeat for offering to play and me utterly forgetting about him and being a player down because of it - sorry about that mate.

No warnings given for MIA, I think it's forgiven because of the SLan - hope you all had a good time.

Battle:
For me the most amusing battle was the warm up on B.axe where I had > 50 trophies - a clear double of the nearest player, but all in all it was a mildly succesful match. Nice comms, even though most of them were debaits about which flags we needed to cap because the ping was so bad that we didn't know for certain. Voting for which bunker to cap next was most amusing.

Better game on Kursk, again nice comms.

All in all not much to say about the game. We had fun and won. My personal game was kicking people every other minute which was ok sometimes, but damn annoying at others. Everyone played admorably, It seems a shame to recognise 1 person's performace over another when everyone played so well.

Awards:
Distinguished Conduct Medal: Helier for his distinguished conduct in battle in the past 2 games. Each player this evening played as well as each other, but as an average Helier has been aiding the removal of Nazi/Allied scum very well over the past 2 games.
Flying Cross: Maverick für Initiatief, Moed, Volharding, Tapferkeit unt leetness im Flug.
Wodden Spoon: Definatly goes to Say_Ten for not being around to set the server passy after saying he would.

Thanks again to 1st rb, look forward to our next match.

Nj

edit:
For the morons (Groodles (http://www.amishrakefight.org/gfy)) that can't even google some german, it means initiative, courage, perseverance, bravery and leetness in flight

Yea thanks for the game fellas, our guys seem to have had fun.

It was for some of our guys the first time they had ever been in an online match, and gave them some well earnt experience.

Looking forward to the next one, hopefully we can go for a larger scale battle and not play my most hated map battleaxe!

Thanks again
