Tournaments at FBL-5

Ok, in an attempt to encourage gaming instead of file 'sharing' at FBL-5, we're thinking of introducing a couple of fun tournaments. How many of you would be interested in playng, and would you prefer team based or mano a mano tourneys? What games do you want? UT2K3 would be nice, but not everyone has it. Everyone has / can l33ch Q3A, same for UT Classic. Any suggestions?

I think tournaments would work.

If I provide a server, Leviathan is teh l33t RA3 tourny guy.

Personally i'd be happy to organise something for ut2k3 (just give the prize straight to Cheez though :p: ) - that game 0wnz!

I think we really need to get some more GAMING in this time round.

Prize wise, I am undecided but i'm sure SOMETHING could be arranged.

I think we could have numerous "fun, alternative" tourneys, such as the aforementioned Soldat, Armagetron, Midtown Madness 2, GTA2, and possibly a Tekken tourney if anyone has it for PS2? Bigscreen 0wnage! Anyone got a dance mat for some DDR pleasure?

Well I always like the mad action of 15 players everyman for him self but I'm always up for team play and 1v1 2v2 stuff. But yeah man tournies would rock...I really enjoyed the RA3 and Corkscrew matches last time and briefly the UT insta-gib. So in the words of Richard O' Brian ... "Start the frags please..."

I have been buying games recently. I am legal game buying man!

I had an anti-piracy thought the other day. This generation now comes to expect to be able to get things for free, and the next generation will be even worse. So soon content creators, whether it be musicians, authors, developers, whatever, will realise that there is no money in the industry, and become plumbers or somesuch. Oh well

I have to say there is something to be said for having our own shop bought copy of a game and having on day of release with all the nice packaging and stuff. Also I've found that the Q3 timedemos only work in the shop verison unless thats just me. I actually bought my fave games agian recentley cos I had vouchers for Game so I didn't actually pay good money they were basically free. Quite Good buy loads of Console stuff and you get enough vouchers for some free PC games....ah well I'd better shutup now...

for a RTCW key, we went into MVC, had a 'look' inside the display case on the shelf, read the cd-key out loud while someone else was 'sending a text'.

Would have worked too if Brian hadnt cleared the message on the way out instead of saving it! :o

afrade im past that stage :P
yes GTA2 will b a lot of fun.. and o yes i still have a zip file of the compleet gta2 with the no cd crack and updated gta2manger.exe and gta2.exe :D i no this cuz i sent it 2 a m8 over the net last week :D
gta2, u can just sit back relax and play, no effot envolved :D cant wait

just make sure we have a few big games of mohaa and r2cw unless enuff ppl want 2 play a small touny
