Use the command
console.showfps 1
in the console to get your FPS onscreen. I found it useful for checking how the different vid/sound setting affected my FPS.

Well try this...
go on wake, on MPUk server and drive a tank along the beach back and forth, taking notice of your FPS...
then go back to windows, start > run, type dxdiag, goto the sound tab, turn off sound acceleration
and see if your FPS improves when going across the same beach on wake...
I had this problem.. I have an above avg comp yet got 20fps because of hardware acceleration

I wonder what fraterate I get?
I just installed the game, whacked the detail to 1024, full graphic detail, full audio acceleration and 2xAA. Ran just fine so I never changed it.
