Has anyone heard of any such devices being made for the Xbox?

Being a PC games player i find Halo hard to play :D

from what i've read, MS dont want any sort of keyboard and mouse made for it, so they can down play the similarities to a PC.

for example Unreal Championship (Xbox equivilent to ut2k3) will use voice comms to communicate instead of a keyboard.

Microsoft aren't releasing them as they want the XBox to remain a console and not be seen as a PC.
Although it is possible to make your own they aren't supported by any game so would be pretty pointless.

Now i love the xbox (although games have been lacking somewhat) but what really pisses me off is the intended release ofthe new S-controller. This is a smaller version of the official controller that is a little bit bigger than the PS2 one. I had the pleasure of using one at ECTS 02 and they are far superior IMHO. Theyt will be going on sale in November sometime for arpound the 25 quid mark. I'm annoyed because i already have 3 official controller and will have to buy these new ones again! GRRRRR

Rumours are about that they might bring out a Keyboard and Mouse for Phantasy Star Online, but I hope they don't.

The problem with releasing a keyboard and mouse for a console is this. I will take Quake 3 on the Dreamcast for example. The players who had Keyboards and Mice were beating the **** out of everyone using only gamepads, which was unfair.

I am all for the Xbox staying with gamepads.

I prefer the standard controller.
It's about time someone made a pad big enough for people with normal hands.
The Controller-S has the Start button in the wrong place I found.

i really have a problem with the XBOX controller, now its not so much the size, its more the fact that the buttons are in the wrong place, i was playing Rocky the other day and i was screwing up because i kept pressing the little white and black buttons instead of the other 2, very annoying.

You will love Controller-S then.
Your thumb is always over those buttons:
