View Full Version : Match against LEM on Saturday 5/10 @ 9pm

Defcon, the multi-clan schlag, has challenged us to a game against Rel^H^H^H LEM. The map will be Market Garden

This time, can we try and get tactics sorted out before the match. I won't be around until about 8:30 unfortunately.

Please register your interest below, as usual, we need a minimum of 8. I will get Defcon to confirm the number of players ASAP

You know, I don't mind this, but I really would like some variation in the clans and maps we play. As it stands, I'm not putting my name forward for this.

Just thought I'd share my opinion. Don't get me wrong, LEM are an excellent bunch of peeps, but I do like to get stuck in with a few more other clans and maps.

It's very hard to find a clan thats very equal skill wise, as you've seen you've completely and utterly raped all clans before us.

Utterly raping clans is hardly something that requires skill, nor is it fun.

Lastly, finding a clan that can get 10 decent players isn't that easy at the moment since the games new.

I have to agree. We are playing too many matches against the same clans. I think we need a bit of a break from relic, LEM and IFC. Sorry to those guys. I think we need to sign up to a ladder somewhere. Current thinking is the one at www.theladder.org. Any others that people have noticed?

I didn't say I wanted to 'utterly rape' clans. I simply asked for a more varied set of clans and maps. Having just played you guys at Market Garden, wtf are we now playing it again? You see my point.

Play some of the other maps, even if they're not as tactically brilliant/open as the others, at least it's a change. And I'm sure there's more than 2 or 3 clans out there who are good at BF.

Perhaps it's time for Multiplay to dabble in online competitions again? The origins of Multiplay were actually in the UKGA (UK Gaming Association), which spawned from the UK National Doom 2 League :)

We've done a fair few online competitions in our years... so maybe it's time we got stuck in again. What do you reckon? MPBFL (Multiplay Battlefield League)? I'm sure with the guys we've got here among the clans we could get something going.

We should have the server capability once the unix server is released... so why not :)

Yes, but be careful. Would we be able to play? Some clans might accuse us of cheating if (when) we win the league

sorry peeps, my upstairs hub that my main pc connects to has decided to die on me 20 mins before the match.....probably see follow up posts about why 1 hub will refuse to talk to another , when i have this thing sorted.

1 hub downstairs office. connected lappy to it works fine
second hub upstairs (main pc is there, connected lappy to it ....no worky.

wtf the 2nd hub is connectd to 1st hub
