ok playing last night on teamspeak and it made my game shocking... i think you got it set too high, it doesnt need to be that clear, id rather have a smooth running game.
next time it wont be a problem because ill go on 128k, just last night someone was on the phone for the whole match!
the first game i used teamspeak and finished middle table, turned it off and the second game was just pip'd to 3rd spot by BGH..
just i think folks with 56k dont stand a chance....... just lettin ya know. although to be fair as soon as i went on 128k it worked fine, just thinkin of the poor 56kers thats all

bf 1942, just get more memory, MORE dammit. Some of the teamspeak bods were very crackly I suspect due to bandwidth woes. and you MrGifted where one of them (omg)
There is no feedback option I can find, in battlecom you could do a loopback test. If this is in TEamspeak someone show me the light.

dood i think i got enough memory!! 512DDR PC2700!
and i gonna get another 512 soon..... although only 768 will go in that machine!
what i mean is that in teamspeak...... you can sellect what quality server you wanna run! and all you ADSL whores :D put it on 16kbs
thats WAY to high!! you only need it on 6kbs TOPS! you can hardly tell that much difference.... it will improve everybodies game and means that humble ol me on ISDN can play with a ping below 100 :)

to prove my point of the above ^^^^^^
if ya go into settings you can do a test.... and test all the different bandwiths i.e about 4.8k up to 16k which is the highest......
and you will see there hardly any difference, just makes it slightly clearer on the highest setting!

That test is not for bandwidth testing, as your machine can loopback faster than any of those settings on there. The test is only for checking if things are working correctly, nothing more.

well how come you can test the different bandwidths and see that the lowest one sounds pritty crap but when ya get t aroun6k and above it all the same/.....

Cata, as much as I loathe to say it, Gifted is right.
You can test the various sampling/playback rates. Okay, its not a perfectly accurate cos its all local... but he is right.
I could be wrong, but I thought we turned down the bandwidth settings after testing it out the first evening?

i just created a sub channel, and it gave me the option of picking bandwidth etc. Just create a sub room with smaller bps
