Following Capcom's less than favourable recent financial forecasts it seems that the developer which brought us the likes of Street Fighter 2 and Resident Evil could face going under.
What used to be an optimistic forecast of £2 million profit has changed to a rather unsettling forecast of a £66 million loss. This has sparked rumours of an imminent buy out and according to sources, Microsoft may be in line to pick up the company.
It isn't anything new that Microsoft are after purchasing a Japanese company so they can break into the Japanese games market and with both Nintendo and SEGA being past targets the news of a Capcom buy out are even more believable.
Could this be the chance Microsoft has been waiting for to finally make a mark on the PlayStation dominated market in Japan?
