Which hall would you say is best for FBL in the future ?
Padworth, Mortimer or some other ?
I vote for Padworth becasuse its in the middle of no where and we can have music on all the time and watch movies and stuff.

Levithan,
I hate to dissapoint but FBL 5 is being held in Padworth Village Hall because of its good facilities like the huge kitchein and the shower blocks. Also the good relationship that the FBL Staff have with the hall chairman and his staff.
I cannot see us moving to Mortimer for future events unless space becomes an issue.

Seriously, we have a bloody good relationship with the managment of Padworth.
I think we should keep using it until we really have to move.
A large kitchein and a hot shower and no neighbours is hard to find :)

Lev mortimor sucks! its larger but the facilts are poor in comparison, and mortimor is residentioal and there are pikies (bad people that steal your stuff and beat you up casue they can)
so PADWORTH ALL THE WAY (untill we get a bigger hall in a field with good facilities)

You have been there twice. See \logs\life\fb3.log and fbl4.log for info. these files are located in your brain.
Yea I know what you mean, that its not the easiest place to find, we are working on maps of win, but they are hard to find, then there is copywrite issues.
But if you are intrested in helping find a map of a good resolution, the halls Post Code is...
RG7 5HT
To be honest I think that all we would need is a map showing where to turn of the A4 onto Padworth Lane. A normal road map is prolly easier for navigating to the local area.
Nice thinking though.

speaking to veteran fblers (ive ony been to one) padworth seems the better, especially now the back rooms are opened up and how knows, perhaps we cud use the ladies as an aditional server farm, unless u guys reeeeeaaaally wanna take a slash in the same place as a woman did once apon a time.

I'll bear that in mind when we expand our server farm to be unable to fit in the rest of the building!
But what happens when we get the hoards of women coming to the events? :p: </dream>

yummmm Ladies :D
Well I know a female gamer but I dont think she can make this event, and is spoken for.
We will have to find some single, attreactive gamers of the female variety.

What you don't understand, is that a trip to a village hall where we do LAN's is Brian's idea of a very fun day out.
Anything LAN related has him get so excited!

OK well lets basicly finish this thread.
Padworth is being used for FBL5 and then if FBL6 at Longstock goes well may not be used again unless we fancy a small event. It is tried and tested and works but we have outgrown it now.
Mortimer is too small for our new needs and doesnt provide the power we require. Whilst it is bigger than Padworth it still isnt big enough for FBL, we are soooo 1337 that so many people want to come and see us :D
Longstock is a huge venue and should allow for 50 people, it has the power for that ammount for PC's and anything else we want to plug in as well. We hope to do a test of it in the form of FBL6 in Febuary 2003, but this is yet to be confirmed.
So people stay tuned to meh the premesis master and well you never know one day we may be having a FBL in a pub :D LOL (J/K)
