During the early hours of the other night, Wise_Washu and myself discovered some weird **** going on in BF1942. Mainly from pissing around.
If you're an engineer and you plant some TNT, but don't blow it up! Then move a jeep or tank and park it next to it. Blow the jeep up and watch as the TNT spins across the floor at the same speed forever until it falls into the see.
Also, plant some TNT on a wing of a plane. hide somewhere and watch until that plane starts to take off. Detonate the TNT and watch it come back down to earth :D
If you jump out of a jeep when heading for a tank the jeep carrys on and blows the tank up. Surely that's wrong :p:
If you eject while inverted why don't you get pummled into the ground?
Just a few things that could be addressed in future patches. I haven't tested these with the new 1.1 patch yet, but there was no mention in the readme.
:D

No, that's intentional, mentioned by the designers on the site.

Physics. Planes in WW2 didn't have rocket assisted booster seats. Leaving the plane while upside down is basically no different at all from leaving the plane when upright when it comes to calculating your initial velocity.

afty = fountin of knowledge
I like this game, even though in the demo the netcode seemed to suck abit at dreamlan, you could be right by someone and if they were strafing you could put a whole clip into them and they would still be standing...

I think you'll find that in 1942, the recomended way of bailing out of this type of aircraft was to roll it inverted and then jump/fall out.
oh and talking of strange stuff, why when the lag sets in can i drop a bomb that kills me whilst I am flying the plane?

If you drop the bombs and then immediatly turn the wings hit the bombs detonating them. Best way to avoid is drop bombs and then pull up and turn.

Or just keep flying straight being the easy option. Dive bombing is relatively easy.
And altho not related congrats to the BF1942 joystick control. If anyone tried Codename Eagle you would know what i mean. The only whom i know could fly those planes with a stick is Klicko who shall also be on the server later.
See you on the beach

also if you walk up to a tree and then tap out the beat to "wannabe" by the spice girls on your caps-lock button then all of the soldiers get naked and have an orgy
no really... try it
