Thanks guys. And Ross, you're the only person to notice the deliberate B&W theme.

As the web is so *full* of colours, I expected the absence to be more obvious than it appears to have been.

And Eskimo, the site should degrade fine into Netscape 4.7. probably missing the graphics etc. but you should be able to use the menu, read text, follow links etc.

Or maybe not. Looks poop in 4.08 cos of the positional elements. hmmm - strange that it has a black background though.

Nice site afty, quality work.

Can we have a "private" bit for tactics etc? We may not have many, but our early start and excessive 5-day practice may have given us some insights others have missed. The reason behind the secrecy I will leave to Bvark and his lovely "Recon" quote from command and conquer days which I'm sure he'll post shortly.

Afty, bob us an email on zakalwe@zakalwe.co.uk (not self-absorbed at all me:) ) and I'll send you the tactics when I've finished writing them. They should cover assault styles for Axis, Allies and general functional points (tickets, scoring etc).

I'll nominate myself to collate ideas, so anyone else who has ideas/insights email me and I'll try and put them all into one cohesive document.

Mav - you appear to have bombing down to an art so if you fancy writing a bombing 101 that could be useful.

I'll try and work out a 16-player division of responsibilities as well, although I think it will take some time to perfect this.

Whats happens is that it all loads up into the left hand side. im guessing you have used frames and it looks like Netscape has chucked everything in the left hand bar. I cant click any links. i can make out some writting but its all over the top of each other...

Itll work at home, ill browse it there. I did notice it was in black and white, the tv thing didnt click though...

Indeed. Unfortunately, it's not fixable even with a complete redesign as Netscape 4.08 and 4.7 are teh ****e.


Should be fine in IE4+, Moz 1 and Opera (with limited funcitonality)

Yer I've got the demo, only played it online a couple of times tho. I played on crap-tastic servers as well, so i've not had a proper taste of it yet.

Mind you, i'll be bloody awful for a while. I've not played anything online since we retired from t2. I never even played that properly cos it was ****e.
