i want to know what good games there are! not what will (you actually mean might be, since they could turn out ****e) PS2 has loads (hence i have a PS2) but if Xbox is still relying on launch titles and 'to be released' titles, i can wait untill the next price drop :D

MGS2 a soon to be released XBox title
SSX Tricky available on XBox and Game Cube
GTA3, OK this is good but so will the GTA4 XBox exclusive :D
Devil May Cry, not a big fan of it myself
Ico, what???
Rez a Dreamcast game
GT3, very disappointing, should have been better.
I'm not biased because I like XBox, I'm biased because it stopped SEGA from making consoles even though the DC has a better selection of games. Damn casual gamers and buying what they are told.

Ico is a bizzare "game". My mate raved about it, dunno why? . The idea is u guide a young "ghosty" girl around a castle, thats it (far as i can tell). Graphically it looked pretty, my friend said it was "unique and original", I thought it was "boring and very unoriginal". It reminded me of the old stylee adventure games where u have to click on the screen to work out what to do next.. (eg. 30% guess work, 70% luck).

Bizzare, I was unaware the Xbox actually prevented SEGA from making consoles. However, SEGA is making great games for all consoles now, which is great :D

Clearly you didn't play it or if you did, didn't give it a chance. (btw, i'm not trying to be patronising here :) )
I KNOW what it looks like. If you read about what the game is actually about, it does sound boring and unoriginal but its not - I can't explain why its not. I've played games for years and i'm not naive or easily fooled. I would rate Ico as one of my top 5 games of all time! Seriously!
Essentially it is just a puzzle game. There are only 2 main characters; you and a mysterious girl who you have to try and guide out of a huge castle. Along the way you get attacked by various shadowy type spirits who try to capture the girl, and you only get one type of attack with which to defend her. Thats it, thats as complicated as the game gets. The game never really reveails what the purpose of the castle is, or who the girl is. You progress through the different areas of the castle (which really is huge) solving logical puzzles in order to help you and the girl (Yorda) escape. As she is quite feeble, the puzzles revolve around creating bridges for her to cross and unblocking areas that she cannot access in order to progress. The game is relatively short - only about 10 hours or so, and there aren't any additional feature after completing the game. So why is it so great?
Well basically, this game is like a one time experience. I have NEVER been made to feel like i really care for a character in a game, untill i played Ico. When Yorda is in danger, you feel compelled to help her and keep her from harm, this is a masterstroke in gaming design that i have never seen in any game before. The graphics are amazing, everything from the awesome backgrounds, and hilltop views through to the intricate animation of the two characters that inhabit the game. Its really hard to put into words why Ico is so amazing but you'll just have to either take my word for it, or play it.
