The Red Bull (genus "bovaris caffina") is found all around the globe, though mostly in the United States and Western Europe. It is extremely docile, and very friendly - many people have admitted to being addicted to getting Red Bulls.

so does that mean that the consumption of Vodka will be prohibited on the premises of the venue ?
If so, how about Rum and Gin, for I am sure that they too would mix well with a certain carbonated caffaine drink ? http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif

Say_Ten

So are they giving out cans? 'Cause if so it's not really for us to say they can't buy vodka and pour the contents of their can into it is it?

Well, at the time of organising this the Marketing "gloss" people only want to portray the "dynamic" of the "product" and do not wish to make it anything else. So kids please feel free to be as "Dynamic" as you can, just don't let them see you tip a litre of vods into the can as soon as they turn around... pls Bugs

Say_Ten
17th February 2000, 19:45
Exactly, it's not actually fair to say people can't do it but in order not to upset the sponsors, who are giving free Red Bull after all, don't be obvious with the alcohol addition. Mind you getting the mix right is really really hard }:-(:

And what about those of us who (gasp) can't stand Red Bull!? If it was the only drink left on Earth, and I was dying of thirst, I don't think I could bring myself to drink Red Bull.

btw, really smooth coffee: 2 heaped spoons instant coffee, 3 of sugar, add boiling water. Stir for a few minutes, then add milk (slightly more than usual) and stir until the coffee grains floating on the top dissolve. Leave to stand for 5-20 minutes, and drink. :]

It's got approx. 4x the caffeine of a can of a standard carbonated beverage, half the sugar, and it's warmer. It doesn't give as much of a buzz, but the wake-up effects last for much longer, eg. 12-24 hours. Or something. If you're feeling mental, add an extra spoon of coffee or two. Muahaha.

Vaugly reminds me of a caffiene bomb I made once. I had a larger than usual mug and I grabbed the coffee jar and the sugar packet and poured the stuff in. The cup was about 1/4 to 1/3 full of the stuff, poured in water and stired. Buzz was incredable but I couldn't sit still and I felt ill when the effects wore off, not the best thing to do!

btw, after careful experimentation I can tell you that coffee with honey instead of sugar is rank. It is vile. It is mingin'. It's both intensely bitter and sickly sweet at the same time. While it looks much cooler, it's ****E. If you feel drawn towards the worst possible logical coffee recipe, then please, *please* don't add milk...

Coffee flowing with milk and honey? I nearly threw up :P

Ok, I did some digging, here's what I found about Jolt.

--
U.K. Soft Drinks Market Set For a 'Jolt' This Summer

Jolt, the American cola with twice the caffeine, today announced its brand plans for the U.K. Sold as the 'refreshing alternative to coffee', Jolt has built up a significant cult following in Japan and across Europe as well as its native North America.

Jolt has been taken on in the U.K. by a new distribution company Soif (UK) Ltd (pronounced swof) who intend to focus on building a strong distribution base over the coming months. Soif have appointed agency Get Real! to handle marketing and PR activity for Jolt.

Soif (UK) Ltd. is a newly formed (March 1998) distribution company specializing in adult soft drinks in the UK and Ireland. Soif already handle Mistic Juice in the UK. Peter Greaney, chief executive, explains: "Soif will focus on selling Jolt via the independent wholesale sector within the M25 for the first 6 months; we will then look at other cities such as Manchester and Birmingham. We feel the timing is perfect to really make an impact in the UK with a brand like Jolt, and we're very pleased to add it to our portfolio."

Marketing and distribution will commence in mid-June with a core week of Soho based street promotion and sampling. Activities will include a retail traffic building promotion offering consumers the chance to win free flights to New York. The 'Jolt office ambulance' will also be traveling around the Soho/Leicester Square areas responding to calls from offices to come and give them a Jolt'!

"We wanted an integrated program of activity to announce the Jolt has really arrived, and to support distribution with some high impact marketing", commented Alexandra Lister of Get Real!, "Jolt is a gutsy brand and its functional, easy to understand proposition will make it a big hit with the youth market."
