I was wondering if you had any plans to implement some sort of voice over net type thing at I3
With Roger Wilco or Battle Com or something
It's just that a lan seems like the perfect environment to use something like that
Or is it a really dumb idea?

I think that it is a gr8 idea...
Good Thinking!
Shame that my soundcard is only Half Duplex (i think)...
i think i might go and find drivers for it..
anyone else have the same problems with a Gravis Ultrasound Extreme Soundcard?

Yeah I have a Creative PC 128 and other than the software EAX support (which sucks) its a great all round card

You guys can run that stuff over the LAN no problem. We might even setup some dedicated base stations http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif

Darn, now I'm gonna have to try and fudge a microphone system, maybe my mobile phone hands free set will work. Not bringing my actual mic!!!

Haha. And then there's me with £12 headphones with 8Hz min. freq. response and a £50 microphone that came with my £120 full-duplex Sound Blaster Live!
Now, if only the rest of my system was that good... and if only I could actually bring the system with the SBLive in it. Unfortunately, I'll need £500 before that happens. Uh... can I take out a loan and get a new PC, then repay it with the prizes I collect? > http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif
