Is there gonna be any stalls selling the i3 games we havent got or should we get them all b4 or dont play them, since accepting a 'spare' copy to borrow for the weekends gaming if we get there say Q3A'less could theoretically get u ejected from the event for copyright infringements.

And if there is, is it at a discount price or just the same as a high st shop?(ill wait if its guaranteed cheap)

I dont think there were any games for sale there last time, and I doubt there will at this one, unless wizzo has plans.

How much of a discount were you hoping for?

Oh, and it is ILLEGAL to borrow both originals and spares! (Its illegal to make spares too)

ATM there are no plans to have any software for sale at the event so you'll need to bring legit games with you. But watch this webbie for any changes nearer the time

thx BlueJay, perhaps a call to your local sunday computer show circuit organiser would provide the name of a few suitable stallholders that would be interested in knocking out some sm/hw. You could even charge em for the space. ICT Promotions organise shows regularly in that area, they are doing one at the swindon link center on 19th feb. Ive even got a number for ICT if its of use: 0151 4258623

Aye, but desperate times call for desperate measures http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif
Any port in a storm and all that, no offence to any PCWorld bods and I hear there are therapy groups you can attend. Well done for standing up and admitting it tho, always the first step on the road to recovery. http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif

Oops, nothing wrong with any kind of job at 16 m8. Just to satisfy my curiosity, what's the new job?

Things have just taken a very nice turn in negotiations with a particular potential sponsor, so we're hoping to have some excellent deals on software at the event. This would likely be pre-ordered and brought along for collection. Expect more info when the all new i3 site goes live in the next couple of days.

I was offered some webdesign work for £150 and the distinct possibility of being contracted out for a load more. A chance to learn me some ASP aswell http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/wink.gif
And I'm helping do IT training at the local college. And some other stuff.
I QUIT TOMORROW!!!!!

for 150 quid, pah, make sure, at your age, its no more than about a days work.

For private web work I charge 20-30 quid an hour, and can do some nice corporate sites with no code in a few hours.

dont let them screw you over...

Ahem. Don't forget to register those web site design earnings for tax.

Some of us are hiding out in central Europe because we didn't :-)

Well good luck BGH. If you're still fairly new I shouldn't worry to much about the money either. Wait til you have some skills and a bit of a portfolio. Unless you already have of course, I know web designers are starting young these days. I was just born 15 years too early http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/wink.gif

You would think that the opportunity of having 400+ gamers at one location for 3 days with moeny to spend on games and/or hardware would cause any number of software/hardware venders to show up and open up a booth and sell/display stuff.

In the states at QuakeCon and other major tournies/LAN parties, Microsoft has shown up to sponser top players like Thresh. CPL events are quickly filling up with venders and sponsers. Logitech has also been known to make an appearance now and then.

Multiplay should have no problem getting reps and/or sponsers from the major software/hardware venders who jump at opportunities like this, it's good for their business and it can be free advirtising for both Multiplay and the venders in questions.

You would think it was easy, but getting some of these companies on board takes a lot of time, chasing, hard work and effort http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif. UK-based Marketing and PR agencies are only really just starting to realise the potential of these events, and as such we're starting to have a lot more success in getting them involved.

Watch this space as the list of sponsors grows http://www.multiplay.org/ubb/smile.gif

sorted Wizzo m8 - your obviously a 'man who can' and understands 2 way benefits.

Agree with your last comment, however within, ooohhh 5 years maybe, the internet will be seen as a normal segment of any growing companies advertising budget and exposure to its markets.

Yeah I know but all I know at the moment is HTML so its a chance for me to learn some new skills. And I get £500 to spend on software and £1600 PC to play around with.

You won't find tribes in the UK on its own
It was only sold singly in the US
Here it was bundled with Starseige: Universe

But......
Does anyone know where I can get a copy on its own
Because I don't want Starseige

Found a copy of Tribes on it's own in the local PC World that I visited for the HalfLife + Opposing Force pack, which they sold out that day. Also sold out at 3 other game shops too. Bugger.
