Does anyone have any idea how to get Allegiance running through NAT?
I'm running behind a NAT'ed router (win2K) and Allegiance will not connect to the free zone. I haven't tried SOVrouting to any games coz none of them have been up whenever I've tried connecting.
This is bad - it means I get to play no Allegiance :(
On the minor upside I have a server running on the routing machine so I see no reason why I couldn't connect to that whislt people from outside also connect...
Anyone up for a (checks bandwidth chart) 16 player game! :(

Map 2300-2400 TCP/UDP and 47624 TCP to your IP
I think....

I tried that, there is a message on the MS knowledge base that said to do that to get it working through a firewall but it would not work through NAT at all.
I tried putting them in and it made no difference...

Also I'd like to publicly states that the fact that you can't seem to do redirection of RANGES using 2K's routing sucks extreme buttocks.
Doing that many addresses manually isn't fun

it will work behind NAT, as long as you forward the ports BGH listed above. You should be able to do that, you can with Winroute, and i've done it on FreeBSD ipfw :)

stupid goddamn Win2K RRAS.
I'm done inputting the TCP ports - just doing the UDP ones now.
Here's hoping...

nope, redirected every single port between 2300 and 2400 TCP and UDP and TCP port 476?? (whatever he's got up there) to my internal IP and I still cannot connect to the free games lobby
no problem downloading autoupdates - that works fine I just can't get into the lobby to actually play :(
